The story
Dan Wijeratne is a physician, healthcare strategist and medtech executive with more than 20 years of clinical experience, spanning clinical medicine, healthcare management, technology and digital health innovation.
With a background in medicine and postgraduate business and healthcare management, Dan has built his career at the intersection of clinical practice, business strategy and technology. His work has focused on understanding the operational challenges of healthcare and translating them into practical, scalable solutions, including providing technological leadership in the design and implementation of the Endometriosis Management Plan (EMP) project, a national project with Monash University, Australia.
As the founder and CEO of Modern Innovations, Dan has led the development of progressive healthcare technology businesses, including a chronic disease management CRM designed to support healthcare professionals in delivering more structured, connected and efficient care.
A key part of his work has been the development of the OrkZen methodology, a framework focused on translating the principles of operational excellence into practical organisational environments. The methodology reflects his belief that technology alone does not transform healthcare; sustainable improvement comes from combining people, processes, technology and strategy into a coherent operating model.
Dan brings this experience to iOmni Health as a Director, contributing clinical insight, commercial perspective and strategic execution to the board and leadership team. His experience spans product strategy, healthcare operations, technology development, organisational design and the translation of complex healthcare challenges into practical technology solutions.
